River and Water Safety
As part of our PSHE curriculum the children learn about different aspects of keeping safe within their locality. Runnymede borough, which Chertsey is part of, is surrounded by various rivers, River Thames, Abbey River, two River Bournes; the Chertsey Bourne and the Addlestone Bourne, and the River Wey. We invite the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in for a visit to help teach the children all about River Safety.
