On Thursday 18th September we had a very successful whole school trip (Years 1-6) to Bocketts Farm. The children had the opportunity to explore the animal farm and had lots of fun on the tractor ride.
A huge thank you to our lovely FOSS team and all who joined us for the Black Cherry Fair procession on Saturday 12th July 2025.

This year’s duck project, supplied by Incredible Eggs, has been a successful and fantastic project.
On Friday 21st March 2025, the children and staff of Stepgates Community School supported Comic Relief 'Red Nose Day'.
Science Week at Stepgates started with a 'BANG' and a 'FIZZ'! The children were 'blown away' when Mrs Brough, our Science Lead, carried out some mesmerising experiments.
The children of Stepgates Community School thoroughly enjoyed their visits from Surrey Fire Education Department, and our Reception children were lucky enough to climb aboard the fire truck and squirt the hoses.
The Salvation Army in Addlestone co-ordinates a Christmas Toy Appeal and last year they provided toys and gifts for over 500 children within Runnymede borough which were distributed to families in need. This year families are facing even more difficulties due to the rising cost of living; the huge increase in utility bills which is having a massive effect upon people’s financial situation and their ability to buy more than the basic requirements. The Salvation Army are expecting an increase in the number of families referred to them and asked if Stepgates Community School could support.
We are very proud of our new SEN Unit.
On Thursday 19th September we had a very successful whole school trip (Years 1-6) to Wellington Country Park, where the children had an opportunity to explore the woodlands, pond habitat, animal farm and enchanted forest amongst other exciting attractions.
A huge thank you to all parents/carers who joined us for an afternoon of amazing artwork and coming together as a community, for our Art Exhibition and Family Picnic/Afternoon Tea.
