School & Eco-Councils
Our School Council plays a key role within their classes and across the school. The children become School Councillors by being voted for by their classmates. They have a range of roles across the school. As well as helping with fundraising both for our school and selected charities, they are also the spokespeople for ensuring the children's views and opinions in our school are heard. They achieve this by sharing any issues, questions or ideas, with Mrs Ford, our Headteacher, as well as other staff across the school.

Recent School Council events
So far this year, School Council have worked really hard organising a variety of different School projects, including many fundraising projects.
Jeans for Genes Day
On Friday 17th September, we held ‘Jeans for Genes’ day. This day is held to help change the lives of children with Genetic disorders in the UK. We raised £196.75!
Children Hospital Pyjamas
On Friday 5th November, we held a pyjama day to support the charity ‘Children’s hospital Pyjamas.’ Children across the school donated new pairs of pyjamas to be taken into our local hospital and given out to children over the Christmas period, Our families were so generous; we collected over 200 pairs of Pyjamas!
School Council Events coming up
Red Nose Day
On Friday 18th March, we will be helping to raise money for Comic Relief, by having a multi-coloured mufti day. We hope to raise money to continue to support this amazing charity and the work they do with young people in the UK and around the world.
Swimming Pool Fundraising
We are so lucky at our school to have our very own, newly built, school swimming pool. Our pool is an outdoor pool, which is fantastic, but that does limit its use to the warmer, summer months. We have decided that we would like to start fundraising for a new pool roof, so we could use this amazing facility all year round!
We are kicking off our fundraising by holding an ‘Who Inspires Us’ mufti day on Monday 28th March, as part of our 'Themed Week'. The theme for this week is ‘Growth'.
Our Eco-School Council also play a key role within their classes and around the school.
Their aim is to guide, empower and motivate fellow pupils to drive change and improve environmental awareness in our school, the local community and beyond.
