I am very pleased to welcome you to Stepgates Community School website which I hope you will find interesting and of value.

At Stepgates we pride ourselves on providing a caring and friendly environment. Every child is encouraged to be successful and have high expectations of themselves both academically and socially, and to have an understanding of the contribution that they can make to the school and the wider community.

Stepgates is a Surrey County Council single form entry primary school with a Specialist Centre for 20 children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs, integrated into the mainstream school. This contributes to the caring ethos of the school and means we have a high adult/child ratio. We have an experienced and committed team of teaching and support staff, and a supportive governing body and Friends of Stepgates School. We see our partnership with parents as being essential to enable us to provide the best possible education for every child.
