At Stepgates Community and Nursery School we aim to provide an engaging, stimulating, inclusive curriculum that excites our children and reflects their interests and experiences. Developing the whole child is at the heart of our ethos and our curriculum ensures that our children become happy successful lifelong learners.

Through our subject specific overviews and intentions for each curriculum area, our pupils learning journey is outlined and the progression of skills carefully mapped in order to drive pupil progress.   Across our school, our curriculum delivery is one which builds upon and enhances pupils experiences in order to provide them with the requisite skills which they need as citizens of the future.  Through successful implementation of core knowledge and skills which are interwoven across the breadth and balance of our curriculum, we maximise the opportunities for pupils learning, meeting the needs for all.
