Welcome to Owls Class

In Year 5, we provide a stimulating, supportive and inclusive learning environment where children are encouraged to be curious, resilient and independent learners. Through engaging lessons and a broad, balanced curriculum, we develop key knowledge and skills while nurturing creativity, confidence and a love of learning. We work closely with parents to ensure every child is supported to achieve their full potential and make excellent progress throughout the year.

Our learning is based around the following themes:

Autumn term – Exploration and Discovery

 Spring term – The Changing World Around Us

Summer term – Impact and Transformation

We enhance learning through a range of educational visits and experiences, giving children the opportunity to bring their learning to life and develop a deeper understanding of the curriculum. This includes visiting Chertsey Museum, Hampton Court and Kew Gardens throughout the year. 

We look forward to supporting the children as they continue to develop as enthusiastic, responsible and successful learners throughout Year 5.
