What is a PTA or PSA?
At Stepgates our PTA is called the F.O.S.S Friends of Stepgates School
A PTA (Parents and Teachers Association) or PSA (Parents and Staff Association) is a very good way to bring together parents, staff and others to raise money and to support the school. It provides an opportunity for everyone to work together towards a common goal. All parents and staff can get involved even if they only have a small amount of time available.
Our school benefits from the additional funds it raises and it increases the opportunity for parents to be more involved in school life.
So, what do we do?
- Raise funds to help the school provide 'extras' for the pupils.
- Run social events for parents and children.
- Provide support for school trips and outings and other special events.
